Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Optometrist to join our healthcare team for a part time position on the UES office. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in optometry and patient care, with expertise in comprehensive eye examinations, vision correction, and ocular health management. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for diagnosing visual problems, prescribing corrective lenses, and providing personalized treatment plans to enhance patients' quality of life. Your role will also involve maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service.

We currently offer a part time position with 2 or3 days per week (Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday are preffered days). Hours and pay can be discussed on an interview.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity, eye health, and overall ocular function using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of eye conditions, including refractive errors, glaucoma, cataracts, and other ocular diseases.
• Prescribe corrective lenses such as glasses and contact lenses tailored to individual patient needs.
• Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and proper use of prescribed optical devices.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Perform basic procedures such as dilation, tonometry, and visual field testing.
• Stay current with advancements in optometry practices, medical terminology, and relevant medical coding standards to ensure high-quality patient care.

Pay: From $80.00 per hour
