Optometrist – Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and eye health.
• Perform refraction tests and prescribe corrective lenses (spectacles and contact lenses).
• Diagnose common vision problems such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia.
• Assist in the detection of eye diseases and refer patients to ophthalmologists when necessary.
• Evaluate and fit contact lenses and provide proper usage instructions.
• Counsel patients on eye care, vision correction options, and preventive eye health practices.
• Operate and maintain ophthalmic diagnostic equipment.
• Interpret vision test results and maintain accurate patient records.
• Assist ophthalmologists during eye screenings and clinical procedures.
• Conduct vision screenings for schools, organizations, and community health programs.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and patient safety standards.
• Maintain inventory of optical products and diagnostic supplies, if required.
• Stay updated with advancements in optometry and vision care.

Qualification

• B.Optom / M.Optom (Bachelor's or Master's in Optometry)
• Valid registration as per applicable regulations

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
