Reed Eye Care Center is seeking a licensed Optometrist to join our team on a part-time basis! We are looking for coverage on Wednesdays, Fridays, or both days, with the opportunity to discuss a schedule that works for the right candidate.

We are an established eye care practice focused on quality patient care, professional collaboration, and creating a welcoming experience for every patient. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and evaluate patients' visual and ocular health.
• Diagnose and manage common eye conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Prescribe glasses and contact lenses based on patients' visual needs.
• Document examination findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans accurately.
• Educate patients on their eye health, treatment recommendations, and follow-up care.
• Refer patients to ophthalmology or other specialists when indicated.
• Collaborate with clinical and support staff to provide efficient, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active Illinois optometry license in good standing.
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
• Professional, approachable, and team-oriented demeanor.
• Both experienced optometrists and new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Position Details

• Employment type: Part-time
• Days needed: Wednesday and/or Friday
• Schedule: Full clinical day, with exact hours discussed during the interview process
• Location: In person, Fairview Heights, IL 62208
• Compensation: Negotiable based on experience and arrangement
• Benefits: This part-time clinical position does not include an employee benefits package.
