Optometry Assistant/ Optician/ Optometry Technician

OPTOMETRY ASSISTANT/ OPTICIAN (Sunrise)

Busy Optometry office seeking an energetic, experienced Optometric Assistant. This is a part-time position with the possibility to become full-time. Must have excellent organizational and computer skills, and be responsible.

REQUIREMENTS:Minimum 1-2 years optical experience. Computer proficiency is a must as our office is electronic. Must have Knowledge in EMR ( My Vision Express a plus). Knowledge of medical coding and billing.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Answer phones, schedule appointments, send faxes.

• Verify Insurances and obtain authorizations

• Optical sales

• Dispense and Adjust frames

• Process Spectacle/ Contact Lens orders

• Code and File insurance claims

• Data Entry ( Inventory, Log insurance claims, post insurance payments, maintain status reports)
