Oracle APEX Developer

1. Key Responsibilities

A. Oracle APEX Development

• Develop Oracle APEX applications based on approved requirements and technical specifications.
• Create APEX pages, forms, reports, interactive reports and interactive grids.
• Configure application navigation and shared components.
• Develop basic workflows and business processes.
• Configure validations, computations, processes and dynamic actions.
• Develop responsive user interfaces.
• Modify and enhance existing APEX applications.

B. SQL & Database Development

• Write SQL queries for application development and reporting.
• Develop basic PL/SQL procedures, functions and processes.
• Create and maintain database objects under supervision.
• Troubleshoot SQL and database-related issues.
• Work with existing Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server data sources where required.

C. API & System Integration

• Assist in developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Work with JSON and REST-based integrations.
• Assist with integration between APEX and external systems.
• Assist with LDAP/Active Directory and SSO integration.
• Perform basic API testing and troubleshooting.

D. User Interface Development

• Develop clean and user-friendly APEX interfaces.
• Configure page layouts, forms, reports and dashboards.
• Apply HTML, CSS and JavaScript where required.
• Ensure applications work correctly on desktop and mobile browsers.
• Follow approved UI/UX standards.

E. Testing & Quality Assurance

• Perform unit testing of developed functions.
• Prepare test cases based on requirements.
• Fix defects identified during SIT and UAT.
• Support QA teams during application testing.
• Perform regression testing after system changes.
• Document defects and corrective actions.

F. Application Support

• Assist in troubleshooting application issues.
• Analyse reported problems and identify possible causes.
• Resolve assigned application defects.
• Escalate complex technical issues to Senior Developers.
• Support production deployment and post-deployment verification.

G. Documentation

• Maintain technical and functional documentation.
• Document application changes and enhancements.
• Maintain API and integration documentation where applicable.
• Update test cases and deployment documentation.
• Maintain source code using the organisation's approved repository.

H. Continuous Learning

• Continuously improve knowledge of Oracle APEX, SQL and PL/SQL.
• Learn enterprise application development and integration practices.
• Keep up to date with new Oracle APEX features and development standards.
• Participate in internal technical knowledge-sharing sessions.

2. Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of software development experience, or suitable fresh graduates with relevant academic/project experience.
• Basic knowledge of Oracle APEX.
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Basic understanding of web application development.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
