Role Description The Oracle Database Administrator role at D2N Solutions is a full-time, remote position focused on managing and optimizing Oracle database environments for client systems. On a day-to-day basis, the Oracle DBA will install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases, monitor performance, and implement tuning measures to ensure high availability and reliability. The role includes managing backup and recovery strategies, overseeing data replication, and troubleshooting database issues to minimize downtime. The Oracle DBA will also design and enforce database security controls, manage user access, and work closely with application and infrastructure teams to support deployments, upgrades, and migrations. Regular documentation, adherence to compliance standards, and proactive capacity planning are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Oracle Database Administration and general Database Administration practices.
• Candidates should possess skills in database Replication and high-availability configurations.
• Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting performance, availability, and configuration issues in complex database environments.
• Candidates should possess skills in Database Security, including access control, encryption, auditing, and compliance best practices.
• Candidates should have experience with backup and recovery tools, performance tuning, and monitoring solutions for Oracle databases.
• Candidates should have proficiency working in remote, distributed teams, with strong communication and documentation skills.
• Candidates should ideally hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or have equivalent professional experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional), familiarity with cloud platforms, and experience in IT services or consulting environments are beneficial.
