Oracle Database Administrator Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain enterprise database environments, including Oracle Database 19c/23ai and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Manage and support Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Oracle WebLogic Server 12c, and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments.
• Administer and maintain SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and other high-availability database solutions.
• Implement and maintain high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), backup, and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Perform database performance monitoring, troubleshooting, tuning, and optimization to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
• Automate routine database administration tasks, monitoring, maintenance, and operational processes using scripting and automation tools.
• Support database deployments, patching, upgrades, migrations, and configuration changes in accordance with established procedures.
• Manage database environments hosted on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, including cloud-based database operations and infrastructure support.
• Administer and troubleshoot database systems across Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance while proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, problem resolution, and continuous service improvement.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application development, security, and operations teams to ensure database reliability, security, and compliance.
• Provide 24/7 global support, including participation in rotational shifts, on-call support, and escalation management as required.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and database standards in accordance with organizational policies and industry best practices.
