Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in managing, administering, and optimizing Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Oracle Database installation, upgrades, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability solutions, and database security.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases.
• Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Manage database backup and recovery using RMAN.
• Perform database cloning, migration, and refresh activities.
• Administer Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard environments.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Perform database capacity planning and storage management.
• Troubleshoot database-related incidents and provide root cause analysis.
• Implement database security, user management, and access controls.
• Support application teams during deployments, releases, and performance tuning activities.
• Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell Scripting, SQL, or PL/SQL.
• Maintain database health checks, monitoring, and documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Oracle Database Administration (11g, 12c, 19c, or higher).
• Expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and OEM.
• Experience in database backup, recovery, cloning, and migration.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
• Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience with Linux/Unix administration.
• Familiarity with Shell Scripting and automation tools.
• Understanding of Oracle security, auditing, and compliance requirements.
• Experience working in production support environments with SLA commitments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle Exadata.
• Knowledge of GoldenGate replication.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD processes.
• Oracle Certification (OCP/OCA) is preferred.
