About the Role:

Administers the Oracle 19c database estate (112 instances, ~1,272 TB across Prod and Non-Prod), covering performance tuning, high availability, backup/recovery and capacity planning for one of the two highest alert-volume domains in the confirmed historical data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database administration, backup/recovery and housekeeping
• Performance tuning and capacity planning
• HA/clustering operations and patching/upgrades
• Security hardening and vendor (Oracle) escalation

Required Skills:

• Oracle 19c database administration
• RAC, Data Guard and ASM configuration and operations
• Performance tuning using AWR/ADDM and related diagnostics
• RMAN backup and recovery operations
• Oracle Enterprise Manager administration
• Capacity planning, patching and security hardening.

Certifications:

Mandatory

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) - Database Administration

Preferred/Advantageous

• Oracle Certified Master (senior role)
• Oracle Data Guard/RAC specialization
• ITIL Foundation

Soft Skills & Attributes:

• Calm, methodical incident response given billing-platform criticality
• Strong attention to detail in performance diagnostics
• Effective collaboration with application teams on tuning
