Oracle DBA

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and support Oracle database environments to ensure high availability, reliability, security, and optimal performance.
• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize database environments, including database automation and cloud database solutions.
• Perform database installation, configuration, monitoring, backup and recovery, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Provide database consulting and technical support to meet business and IT requirements.
• Perform certification and validation of new database technologies, including new Oracle database versions, patches, and related technologies.
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and security across database environments.
• Collaborate with IT teams and other departments to understand and fulfill data and database requirements.
• Develop and maintain database automation, scripts, and operational processes.
• Document database architecture, processes, procedures, and operational standards.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Fluent in English, with a minimum score of TOEIC 750+, TOEFL iBT 98+, or IELTS 6.5+.

• Strong experience in Oracle Database Administration, including installation, configuration, monitoring, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with:

  • Oracle Database 19c and above
  • Oracle Exadata
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
  • Oracle Data Guard
  • Oracle Unified Directory (OUD)

• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.

• Experience with database automation and scripting using:

  • SQL / PL/SQL
  • T-SQL
  • Shell Scripting
  • PowerShell
  • Terraform or other automation tools

• Experience with other database management systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, or MariaDB is an advantage.

• Experience with cloud database technologies, such as Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS), is an advantage.
