Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to manage and optimize a mission-critical enterprise technology environment spanning Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Database 19c on Exadata, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Oracle Fusion Cloud.

This role requires a technically strong, hands-on professional with deep expertise in Oracle database administration, performance optimization, security, patching, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery.

This is about safeguarding critical systems, strengthening technology operations, and ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable business services.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS R12.2.x), including installation, configuration, cloning, patching, upgrades, and performance optimization.
• Manage Oracle Database 19c on Exadata, including RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, Clusterware, database patching, and performance tuning.
• Maintain database availability, backup and recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery using RMAN and Data Guard.
• Administer Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including database provisioning, compute, networking, access controls, monitoring, security, and cost optimization.
• Support Oracle Fusion Cloud administration, including user access, role management, security reviews, quarterly updates, integrations, scheduled processes, and reporting.
• Implement database security controls, encryption, auditing, vulnerability remediation, and applicable compliance requirements.
• Automate operational tasks using Shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL, with working knowledge of Python and Terraform.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex database and application issues, and implement measures to minimize downtime.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, disaster recovery plans, and regular performance, security, and cost reports.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application, functional, and vendor teams to ensure reliable and secure technology operations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 8 years of Oracle DBA experience, including a minimum of 5 years supporting Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.x.
• Oracle Database & Exadata: Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database 19c, RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, Exadata, and database patching.
• Oracle EBS: Proven experience in EBS administration, ADOP online patching, environment cloning, upgrades, and application-tier troubleshooting.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Experience with RMAN, Data Guard, recovery planning, high availability, and disaster recovery testing.
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure: At least 2 years of hands-on OCI experience, including database services, networking, IAM, monitoring, security, and cost management.
• Oracle Fusion Cloud: Experience with user and role administration, security governance, quarterly updates, integrations, and reporting.
• Security & Compliance: Knowledge of database hardening, encryption, auditing, access controls, vulnerability management, and relevant security standards.
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL, with working knowledge of Python and Terraform.
• Certifications: Oracle Database OCP, Oracle EBS Applications DBA, Exadata, OCI, and ITIL certifications are preferred.
• Personal Attributes: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, independent ownership, effective communication, clear documentation, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Contract Details

• Engagement: Offshore contract
• Duration: Annual contract, subject to agreed renewal and review terms
• Location: Remote / Offshore
