Job Title: Oracle Functional Consultant - QA

Location: Hyderabad/Bengaluru/Pune, India

We are seeking 6-9 years of experienced Oracle EBS Functional Consultant to join our Quality Assurance Practice. The consultant will be responsible for analysing quality-management and inspection processes, designing Oracle EBS Quality solutions, configuring collection plans and specifications, integrating quality controls with manufacturing and supply-chain transactions, and supporting implementation, validation, deployment, and production operations.

The ideal candidate should have strong functional knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite R12/R12.2, with hands-on experience in Oracle Quality, Inventory, Purchasing, Work in Process, Bills of Material, Manufacturing, and related modules.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Requirements and Process Analysis

• Conduct workshops with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, manufacturing, procurement, warehouse, engineering, supply-chain, and compliance teams.
• Understand current quality-management, inspection, testing, and nonconformance processes.
• Gather requirements for:
  • Receiving inspection
  • In-process inspection
  • Final-product inspection
  • Supplier quality
  • Shop-floor quality
  • Inventory quality
  • Customer-return inspection
  • Equipment and maintenance inspection
  • Nonconformance and defect tracking
  • Rework and scrap management
• Document current-state and future-state processes.
• Prepare business requirement documents, functional requirement documents, fit-gap analyses, and process-flow diagrams.
• Translate business and quality requirements into Oracle EBS configurations.
• Recommend scalable solutions using standard Oracle EBS capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to replace spreadsheets, paper inspection forms, and manual quality processes.

2. Oracle Quality Configuration

• Configure and maintain Oracle Quality functionality in Oracle EBS.

• Define and manage:

  • Specifications
  • Specification types
  • Quality actions
  • Alert actions
  • Parent-child collection plans

• Configure collection elements for characteristics such as:

• Defect type

• Defect quantity

• Failure code

• Test value

• Measurement

• Root cause

• Corrective action

• Disposition

• Inspector

• Inspection date

• Lot and serial number

• Supplier

• Item

• Work order

• Define valid values, default values, mandatory fields, display sequences, and data-entry controls.

• Configure organization-specific quality plans and data-collection requirements.

• Maintain quality-plan security and user access.
