Oracle HCM Analyst / Developer — Absence Management (HR Systems Team)

Location: Bloomington, MN (Hybrid/Remote) | Type: Contract-to-Hire

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a techno-functional Oracle Fusion HCM professional focused primarily on Absence Management. This role will own day-to-day analysis, configuration, troubleshooting, and enhancement of Absence functionality while partnering closely with HR and IT. The ideal candidate combines strong functional knowledge of Oracle HCM with enough technical depth to analyze Fast Formulas, investigate data and system issues, and support reporting and integrations.

PRIMARY FOCUS: ORACLE ABSENCE MANAGEMENT

• Analyze, configure, support, and enhance Oracle Fusion HCM Absence Management.
• Troubleshoot Absence-related configuration, processing, eligibility, accrual, and data issues.
• Translate HR requirements into effective Absence Management solutions and system enhancements.
• Understand, analyze, and troubleshoot Fast Formulas used within HCM; complex formula development from scratch is not required.
• Use strong data-analysis skills to identify root causes, validate outcomes, and resolve production issues.
• Develop, support, or analyze BIP and/or OTBI reporting related to HCM processes and data.
• Participate in testing and deployment of quarterly Oracle upgrades and user-interface changes.
• Document configurations, technical specifications, troubleshooting findings, and support procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience supporting and configuring Oracle HCM Cloud / Oracle Fusion HCM applications.
• Strong, hands-on Oracle Fusion HCM Absence Management experience (recent experience strongly preferred).
• Working knowledge of Fast Formulas (ability to understand existing formulas and troubleshoot/analyze behavior).
• Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and production troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with BIP and/or OTBI reporting.
• Ability to collaborate with HR and IT stakeholders, gather requirements, test solutions, and communicate technical findings clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, MIS, or equivalent professional experience.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE THAT ADDS VALUE

• Experience with additional Oracle Fusion HCM modules beyond Absence Management.
• Oracle HCM Extracts, AutoComplete Rules, Redwood UI, or related HCM configuration experience.
• Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), BI Publisher, REST/SOAP APIs, or other Oracle integration technologies.
• Oracle HCM Talent or Benefits experience or certification.
• Experience in healthcare or health-plan IT environments.
• Familiarity with Oracle Visual Builder Studio, Oracle JET, or OCI.

IMPORTANT SCOPE NOTE

Oracle Time and Labor (T&L) experience is not required. The sourcing priority is candidates with meaningful, preferably recent, Absence Management depth.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & ADDITIONAL DETAILS

• Monday–Friday, daytime schedule.
• Participation in an off-hours on-call support rotation may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Remote work may be available; local/regional candidates are preferred for occasional onsite meetings or needs.

The projected hourly range for this position is $65.00–$80.00
