Job Summary

Birlasoft is looking for an experienced Oracle HCM Cloud Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Core HR, HCM Security and Approval Workflows .

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud HCM implementations, configuration, security design, approval rule configuration and end-to-end HR business processes. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and project teams to deliver scalable Oracle HCM solutions.

Oracle HCM Security

• Strong experience in designing and configuring Oracle HCM Cloud security .
• Configure and maintain:

• Aggregate Privileges

• Security Profiles
• Person Security Profiles
• Organization Security Profiles
• Position Security Profiles
• Location Security Profiles
• Configure Role Provisioning Rules and understand automatic role assignment.
• Troubleshoot security-related issues and analyze access/privilege requirements.
• Define appropriate security access based on business roles, legal employers, business units, departments and other organizational structures.
• Support security testing and validation across different user personas.

Approval Management

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Approval Workflows .
• Configure and troubleshoot approval rules for Core HR transactions.
• Experience with BPM Worklist / Transaction Console .
• Good understanding of approval hierarchy and supervisory hierarchy.
• Configure approval routing based on:
• Supervisory hierarchy
• Job
• Position
• Department
• Business Unit
• Legal Employer
• Location
• User-defined conditions
• Troubleshoot stuck, rejected or incorrectly routed transactions.
• Analyze approval rules and resolve workflow issues.
• Experience with Manage Approval Transactions and Transaction Console.
• Work with technical teams to resolve workflow and integration-related issues.

Implementation & Support

• Participate in requirement gathering, solution design and functional workshops.
• Prepare functional design documents and configuration workbooks.
• Perform system configuration and unit testing.
• Prepare SIT/UAT scenarios and support business users during testing.
• Analyze and resolve functional defects.
• Support production issues and provide root-cause analysis.
• Prepare process documentation and user guides.
• Coordinate with technical teams for integrations, reports, data migration and extensions.
• Participate in client discussions and provide functional recommendations.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Oracle HCM Cloud Functional .
• Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Core HR .
• Mandatory experience in Oracle HCM Security .
• Mandatory experience in Oracle HCM Approval Workflows .
• Strong understanding of HCM enterprise and workforce structures.
• Hands-on experience with Job Roles, Duty Roles, Data Roles and Security Profiles.
• Strong understanding of approval hierarchy and workflow routing.
• Experience with BPM Worklist and Transaction Console.
• At least one end-to-end Oracle HCM Cloud implementation .
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to interact directly with business stakeholders and clients.

Good to Have

• Oracle HCM Cloud certification.
• Exposure to Oracle Redwood HCM .
• Knowledge of HDL/HSDL.
• Exposure to OTBI and BI Publisher.
• Knowledge of Oracle HCM integrations and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Exposure to Fast Formula.
• Experience in multi-country/global Oracle HCM implementations.
• Experience with other HCM modules such as Absence, Payroll, ORC or Talent.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
