What they need

Oracle Integration Cloud Consultant (OIC Gen2)

  • Location: Sandton, Johannesburg [ Work from office ]
  • Duration: 6 + 6 Months renewal

Design secure, scalable integrations that connect Oracle Cloud applications with the systems businesses rely on.

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Integration Cloud Consultant who enjoys solving complex integration challenges and building reliable, reusable solutions. You will design, develop, implement and support integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC Gen2) , connecting Oracle SaaS applications—including ERP, HCM, SCM and CX—with on-premises and third-party systems. This is an opportunity to influence integration standards, work closely with functional teams and business stakeholders, and deliver secure, scalable and high-performing solutions across the full lifecycle.

What you will do:

Design and develop integrations

  • Design and build OIC integrations using App Driven Orchestration, Scheduled Integrations and Basic Integrations.
  • Create and manage SOAP- and REST-based integrations, reusable integration patterns and canonical models.
  • Implement B2B Trading Partner Management where applicable.
  • Configure Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle Service Cloud, HCM and SCM adapters, as well as FTP, REST, SOAP and OIC Gen2 File Server connectivity.

Build secure, resilient solutions

  • Implement OAuth 2.0, certificates, API keys and role-based security.
  • Design robust fault handling, tracking and reprocessing mechanisms.
  • Enable activity-stream insights and integration tracking.
  • Create complex XSLT mappings, canonical transformations, enrichment logic, data validations and lookup logic.

Deliver, support and improve

  • Deploy integrations across DEV, TEST and PROD environments.
  • Support UAT and resolve production issues efficiently.
  • Partner with Oracle SaaS functional teams, business stakeholders and global delivery teams.
  • Prepare integration design documents (IDDs), follow Oracle best practices and integration standards, and contribute to code reviews and knowledge sharing.
  • Drive integration delivery quality and timeliness, reusability and performance, production incident resolution, and strong documentation and knowledge contribution.

What you will bring:

Essential technical experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC Gen2) , including Lookups, Libraries and Packages.
  • A solid understanding of SOA concepts, REST, SOAP, WSDL, JSON and XML.
  • Proven experience integrating Oracle SaaS applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of XSLT, XPath and integration patterns, including Oracle Autonomous Integration Patterns.
  • Experience with API lifecycle management and integration governance.

How you work:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in global delivery teams.

Experience that will help you stand out:

  • Oracle OIC Professional or Specialist certification.
  • Exposure to Oracle SOA Suite or OSB; migration experience is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Visual Builder.
  • Familiarity with OCI services such as Object Storage and Streaming.
  • Experience in Finance, Telecom, Retail or Manufacturing.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery models.

If you are an integration specialist who combines deep OIC Gen2 expertise with a practical, collaborative approach, this role offers the chance to solve meaningful enterprise integration challenges, shape reusable standards and see your solutions through from design to production. We would welcome your application.

Most required skills for this role:

  1. Hands-on OIC Gen2 delivery: App Driven Orchestration, Scheduled Integrations, Basic Integrations, Lookups, Libraries and Packages.
  2. Oracle SaaS integration: practical experience integrating ERP, HCM, SCM, CX or Service Cloud using the relevant OIC adapters.
  3. Integration technologies: strong SOA fundamentals plus REST, SOAP, WSDL, JSON and XML.
  4. Data transformation: advanced XSLT and XPath, canonical models, enrichment, validation and lookup logic.
  5. Security and resilience: OAuth 2.0, certificates, API keys, roles, fault handling, tracking and reprocessing.
  6. Lifecycle delivery: deployment across DEV, TEST and PROD, UAT support and production incident resolution.
  7. Professional effectiveness: analytical problem-solving, stakeholder communication, documentation, governance and collaboration across global teams.
