Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Oracle PL/SQL & ProC Developer with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in database development, Unix/Linux environments, and embedded SQL programming.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and complex SQL queries.
• Design and develop applications using ProC / Embedded SQL.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
• Perform SQL query optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Work with large-volume data, complex joins, subqueries, analytical functions, and database transactions.
• Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts for application and database-related processes.
• Debug and resolve production issues related to Oracle, PL/SQL, and ProC applications.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment activities.
• Work closely with application developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
• Prepare technical documentation and support existing applications.

Required Skills

• 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database development.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Good hands-on experience with ProC / Embedded SQL.
• Strong understanding of Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Cursors, Triggers, Views, and Transactions.
• Experience with SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
• Good knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with production support and application maintenance.
• Good understanding of database design, indexing, constraints, and data integrity.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Good to Have

• Experience in C programming.
• Exposure to application development involving Oracle and ProC.
• Knowledge of batch processing and scheduling tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Exposure to version control tools such as Git/SVN.

Education

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
