Oracle Cloud PPM Functional Consultant – Record to Report (Projects Solution Lead)

12-month Contract inside IR35 - Hybrid (3 days on-site) - London

We are supporting a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data business with the engagement of an experienced Oracle Cloud PPM Functional Consultant to lead the Projects workstream of its Finance Transformation programme.

Sitting within Record to Report, this role will shape and enable digital transformation on the Oracle Fusion platform, delivering an end-to-end Oracle Cloud Project Portfolio Management (PPM) solution as part of a wider push to simplify finance systems and processes across a wide range of geographies.

The Role

You will lead the functional design and configuration of the Projects solution, working closely with Finance, Project Management, Investment Management and Product Development stakeholders, as well as Technology and architecture colleagues.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead solution design with key enterprise stakeholders across Finance, Project Management, Investment Management and Product Development
• Capture and document functional and technical requirements, working closely with the Oracle Fusion EPM and Oracle architecture teams to ensure seamless integration
• Configure Oracle Cloud Project Financials and related PPM modules, including Project Costing, Project Billing and Project Contracts
• Create key project documentation, including Business Requirements Definitions (BRD), Functional Specification Definitions (FSD), test scripts, user manuals and training guides
• Act as the bridge between business SMEs and Technology colleagues, ensuring functional specifications are accurately translated into detailed technical specifications
• Work with the Workstream Lead to agree priorities and manage design, build and test deliverables through to a fully tested solution
• Own project status reporting and provide regular progress updates to the Workstream Lead and PMO
• Identify design, build and test issues, risks, dependencies and assumptions as they arise, and agree and implement timely mitigation actions

You will ideally bring:

• Proven experience as an Oracle Cloud Specialist or Lead Consultant, with strong knowledge of Oracle Fusion / Cloud PPM modules
• 8+ years’ experience in Oracle EBS / Cloud PPM implementations, upgrades and support projects, with hands-on configuration skills
• Experience leading ERP functional design phases across the full software development life cycle
• Ability to work independently, follow established guidelines and procedures, and take initiative to explore and solve problems
• Strong client service, stakeholder management and leadership skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and drive collaboration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work closely with Technology colleagues to bridge business requirements into technical specifications through the design process
• Experience performing testing activities and training internal teams
