Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 annually, depending on experience

Work Arrangement: On-site, with hybrid flexibility of 1–2 remote days per week available after the first six months of employment.

About the Opportunity

Chas Roberts Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced and motivated Oracle Developer to join our IT team in Phoenix, Arizona!

In this role, you'll serve as the primary developer for our Oracle-based applications, supporting multiple departments and helping drive technology improvements across the organization.

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, takes ownership of their work, and can effectively collaborate with both technical teams and business users.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in PL/SQL, Oracle APEX, and Oracle Forms , along with a passion for improving systems, modernizing applications, and developing practical solutions that support business operations.

What You'll Do

Oracle Development & Application Support

• Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Oracle-based applications across multiple departments.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
• Design and build user-friendly applications using Oracle APEX.
• Support existing Oracle Forms applications while helping transition legacy processes to modern platforms.

System Upgrades, Migrations & Integrations

• Assist with Oracle upgrades, patches, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Help migrate existing Oracle Forms applications and processes to Oracle APEX.
• Develop and maintain integrations between internal applications, third-party systems, and external data sources.
• Work with APIs, SFTP, and other integration technologies to improve connectivity and automation.

Testing, Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Test and validate new applications, enhancements, and system changes before deployment.
• Maintain clear documentation of code, processes, system changes, and technical workflows.
• Identify opportunities to improve application performance, security, efficiency, and user experience.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement reliable, long-term solutions.

Collaboration & Project Ownership

• Serve as a primary technical resource for Oracle application development and support.
• Work directly with department leaders and end users to understand business needs and develop solutions.
• Independently manage priorities, deadlines, and development tasks.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and timelines to IT leadership and stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with PL/SQL and Oracle APEX in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle database development.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Oracle APEX applications.
• Familiarity with Oracle Forms and legacy Oracle-based systems.
• Experience with software development lifecycles, testing, debugging, and system integrations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to independently manage projects while collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports development
• Oracle database administration, performance tuning, upgrades, and migrations
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Middleware technologies such as WebLogic or Tomcat
• SQL Server, MySQL, and Windows Server
• Web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, PHP, or WordPress
• Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
• Legacy system modernization and integration with modern applications
