Oracle RPAS Functional Consultant

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Oracle RPAS Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Oracle Retail Predictive Application Server (RPAS) , PL/SQL , Java , and Unix Shell Scripting . The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in Oracle Retail solutions, application support, and production maintenance, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with AWS, CI/CD tools, and software configuration management will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support Oracle RPAS applications across multiple retail modules.
• Develop and optimize PL/SQL programs, Java components, and Unix Shell scripts.
• Perform application support, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and production maintenance.
• Gather business requirements and prepare High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy Oracle RPAS enhancements and customizations.
• Write and execute unit test cases to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Monitor scheduled jobs, troubleshoot failures, and ensure successful execution.
• Collaborate with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality retail solutions.
• Manage source code and deployments using version control and CI/CD tools.
• Work within Linux environments for application development and support.

Must-Have Skills

• 4 6 years of IT experience with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle RPAS.
• Extensive experience working across Oracle Retail Predictive Application Server modules.
• Strong programming skills in PL/SQL, Java, and Unix Shell Scripting.
• Experience in application support, production support, and maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of job schedulers and workload automation tools.
• Strong understanding of the Retail domain and integration with enterprise applications.
• Experience with Software Configuration Management tools such as Git, SVN, Bitbucket, or TFS.
• Experience in requirement gathering, business analysis, HLD, and LLD preparation.
• Hands-on experience in writing and executing unit test cases.
• Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• AWS Cloud knowledge.
• Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD automation.
• Hands-on experience with Git version control.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and deployment automation.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
