What they need

Order & Technical Specialist

Help showrooms and designers create better kitchens for their customers

We are looking for an Order & Technical Specialist to provide friendly, knowledgeable and practical support to our showrooms and designers.

This is a customer-focused, advisory role for someone who understands kitchen and furniture design, enjoys sharing knowledge, and can help others make confident decisions. You will use your expertise in the Nobilia product range to review designs, guide designers through technical challenges and support the delivery of accurate, practical and beautiful customer proposals.

About the role

You will work closely with new and established showrooms, helping them develop their product, design and ordering knowledge. You will be an approachable source of advice, supporting onboarding, sharing best practice and helping designers improve the quality and consistency of the designs they present to customers.

By identifying potential issues early and offering clear, helpful solutions, you will help create a smoother journey from the customer’s initial ideas through to successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

Design Review & Technical Accuracy

  • Review kitchen and furniture designs with a helpful, solutions-focused approach.
  • Check layouts, specifications, product selections and overall technical viability.
  • Use your Nobilia product knowledge to assess designs against quality-tested rules, technical guidance, installation requirements and practical considerations.
  • Identify details that could affect accuracy, manufacture, installation or the successful delivery of the customer’s design.
  • Provide clear, constructive advice and recommend workable solutions.

Training, Advice & Showroom Support

  • Act as an approachable first point of contact for new showrooms and designers.
  • Provide patient, practical guidance as designers develop their product, design and ordering knowledge.
  • Coach designers through layout decisions, product selections, technical challenges and design revisions.
  • Explain recommendations clearly, helping designers understand their options and build confidence.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing learning across the Nobilia product range, design standards, technical requirements and relevant processes.
  • Share best practice, product knowledge and practical feedback to improve designer confidence and the quality of customer-facing designs.

Nobilia Product Expertise & Order Management

  • Act as a trusted source of Nobilia product and technical knowledge.
  • Work with Nobilia and other key suppliers to clarify specifications, resolve queries and support accurate ordering.
  • Keep your knowledge of the Nobilia range current, including product availability, technical updates and specification changes.
  • Work collaboratively to resolve issues and support the smooth progression of customer projects through to delivery.

Customer-Focused Collaboration

  • Build supportive relationships with showrooms and designers.
  • Communicate clearly and make technical advice easy to understand and apply.
  • Welcome questions, respond promptly and keep colleagues informed.
  • Follow technical issues through to resolution.
  • Combine a friendly, collaborative approach with the standards required for accurate, practical and deliverable designs.

About you

You will be someone who enjoys helping others and takes pride in sharing knowledge. You will be confident offering advice, able to explain technical information clearly and committed to achieving the best possible outcome for the customer.

You are likely to have:

  • Experience in kitchen design, fitted furniture, interiors, ordering or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen products, design principles and technical requirements.
  • An interest in, or experience with, the Nobilia product range.
  • Experience using CAD or kitchen design software, ideally Winner Design or Winner Flex.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The confidence to support new designers and showrooms in a positive and encouraging way.
  • The ability to manage queries, priorities and technical issues through to resolution.

The opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to combine technical knowledge with training, coaching and relationship-building. You will play an important role in helping our showrooms and designers create better designs for customers, while becoming a valued source of Nobilia product expertise and practical advice.
