Order Entry/Customer Associate

Job Overview

As an Order Entry/Customer Associate at our glass installation company specializing in windows, shower doors, and custom store fixtures, you will be a crucial part of our operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately entering customer orders, processing work orders for production, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the order lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

Order Entry & Processing:

• Receive customer orders via phone, email, online portal, or in-person.
• Generate and distribute work orders, pick tickets, and production sheets to the warehouse and fabrication teams.

Customer Communication & Support:

• Provide accurate information regarding product options, lead times, pricing, and installation schedules.
• Answer customer questions about glass types, thickness, safety glass requirements (tempered, laminated), and energy efficiency (low-E coatings).
• Notify customers of order confirmations, production delays, shipment tracking, or installation date changes.

Installation Scheduling:

• Coordinate with installation crews to schedule delivery and installation dates.
• Confirm that all materials (glass, hardware, framing) are ready before scheduled installation dates.
• Communicate installation schedules to customers and confirm appointments.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to multitask while assisting customers.

Basic computer skills.

Patient, professional demeanor when handling customer concerns.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pay: $21.89-$25.87 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
