Order Fulfillment Coordinator

Position Overview

El Cerrito Metal Warehouse is seeking an organized and dependable Order Fulfillment Coordinator to help keep customer orders moving smoothly from receipt through shipment. This position supports order preparation, inventory coordination, documentation, and communication with warehouse staff. The role is well suited for someone who pays attention to details, stays organized, and enjoys coordinating multiple tasks in an active work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review incoming orders and confirm product quantities and order details
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to arrange picking and preparation of orders
• Monitor orders as they move through picking, packing, and staging
• Verify products and quantities before orders are prepared for shipment
• Prepare shipping labels, order paperwork, and related documentation
• Enter and update order information in company systems
• Track order progress and follow up on items that may cause delays
• Communicate with warehouse and shipping personnel regarding daily priorities
• Help confirm product availability and identify potential inventory shortages
• Assist with organizing completed orders in designated staging areas
• Record discrepancies, damaged items, or missing products and notify the appropriate team member
• Maintain accurate order and fulfillment records
• Help keep fulfillment materials and work areas organized
• Follow company procedures for order accuracy, handling, and workplace safety
• Perform other administrative and fulfillment support duties as assigned

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; training is provided
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow established procedures
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members
• Good time-management skills
• Reliable attendance and a responsible work ethic
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Comfortable working in a warehouse and office-supported environment
• Willingness to learn new systems and processes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
