In this role, you will lead a team of 35 to 40 employees (including pickers, packers, replenishers, and QA) within a fast-paced 300,000 square foot logistics facility. Managing operations for our largest, highest-volume active lifestyle brand client, you will drive a daily output of approximately 25,000 units. This position serves as a fast-track "Manager-in-Training" pathway for an operationally sharp leader who manages with high emotional intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and cross-train a second-shift team of 35–40 warehouse associates to ensure high morale and efficient operations.
- Performance Metrics: Monitor and drive daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics while operating strictly within client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Labor Planning: Partner directly with the Distribution Center Manager to plan, adjust, and execute daily labor allocations based on client volume forecasts.
- Process Improvement: Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to optimize customer fulfillment, safety protocols, order quality, and facility efficiency.
- **Safety & Compliance: **Enforce all warehouse safety procedures, security protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain a pristine, tidy workspace.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of direct experience leading teams within a high-volume warehouse or light industrial distribution environment.
- Systems Literacy: High proficiency utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) alongside standard Microsoft Office programs (specifically Outlook).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, climb stairs/ladders, work comfortably in elevated areas, and lift up to 50 lbs. in varied temperature conditions.
- Peak Season Commitment: Must fully commit to the mandatory peak season blackout period (November 16 – December 23), which requires working up to 7 days a week, 10 hours a day.
- Education & Language: A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is a strong plus. Bilingual capability (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.
Why apply?
- Fast-Track Career Advancement: This is explicitly treated as a "Manager-in-Training" role. The previous supervisor was internally promoted, leaving a legacy of excellent leadership and creating a direct operational pathway for your corporate growth.
- Immediate $2,000 Signing Bonus: To attract top-tier talent for this critical facility anchor, an immediate $2,000 cash sign-on bonus is attached to this offer.
- Work with Major Global Brands: You will directly head the fulfillment operations for our largest revenue-generating client account, handling premium apparel, footwear, and active lifestyle goods.
- Culture of Mutual Respect: We don't just preach culture; we live it. You will step into a collaborative, supportive logistics environment that balances high-performance metrics with high emotional intelligence.
