Join our dynamic logistics team as an Order Picking Team Leader, where you'll play a pivotal role in orchestrating efficient operations. Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of order pickers to achieve daily productivity goals while maintaining high accuracy standards
• Coordinate order picking activities, ensuring timely completion of shipments in line with customer requirements
• Oversee materials handling processes, including the safe operation of forklifts and mechanical equipment
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors or delays
• Manage shipping and receiving operations, verifying outbound deliveries
• Conduct regular safety inspections, enforce safety protocols, and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members
• Support training initiatives for new staff on procedures, and safety practices

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, logistics
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
• Beneficial of Knowledge of forklift operation
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies to streamline workflows and increase efficiency
• Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
• Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures within 3PL (third-party logistics) environments
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and other departments

Pay: £30,000.00 per year
