What they need

Order Processor Support £27,000 Per Annum

Full Time | Monday to Friday | On-Site | No Weekends

Online Bedrooms is growing, and we’re looking for a detail-focused, technically minded Customer Service and Technical Support member to join our team. You will also need excellent customer service skills, be comfortable talking on the telephone and dealing with administrative queries from customers. Experience in viewing technical plans would be an advantage.

We design and manufacture made-to-measure fitted bedroom furniture for customers across the UK, with every order manufactured here in Nottinghamshire.

Because every room, design and order is different, getting the details right really matters.

This isn’t simply a data-entry position. You’ll play an important role between our design team and manufacturing operation, taking customer-approved designs and turning them into accurate, production-ready orders.

You’ll be checking measurements, specifications and drawings, spotting anything that doesn’t look right and making sure problems are picked up before an order reaches production.

If you’re naturally organised, enjoy working with technical information and are the sort of person who notices the small details other people miss, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

Your day-to-day role will include:

  • Taking bespoke wardrobe designs from our sales and design team and converting them into accurate production orders
  • Entering technical order information into our internal manufacturing systems
  • Reviewing drawings, measurements, component information and room layouts
  • Checking that order details are complete and accurate before they reach production
  • Identifying potential problems or inconsistencies early and helping find solutions
  • Liaising with our designers when information needs checking or clarifying
  • Using SketchUp and other systems to verify designs and specifications
  • Working with different departments to help orders move smoothly from design through to delivery
  • Assisting with customer care, delivery confirmations and aftersales queries when required
  • Helping us continually improve our processes, quality and efficiency

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for somebody who takes pride in getting things right.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • A technical or technically minded background
  • Confidence reading and interpreting technical drawings, measurements, specifications or detailed product information
  • Strong IT skills and the confidence to learn new systems quickly
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A logical, analytical approach to problem-solving
  • The confidence to question something when it doesn’t look right
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
  • The ability to manage several orders or tasks at the same time without losing attention to detail
  • A calm and adaptable approach when priorities change
  • A genuine commitment to accuracy and quality

Experience within fitted furniture, kitchens, bedrooms, manufacturing, CAD, construction or another technical environment would be useful, but we’re also interested in people from other industries where accuracy, measurements and technical information are important.

What you’ll get in return

  • A permanent, full-time position within a growing UK manufacturing business
  • Monday to Friday working – no weekends
  • Competitive salary based on skills and experience
  • Full training on our products, processes and internal systems
  • Ongoing development and support
  • A friendly, supportive team environment
  • A role where your work genuinely makes a difference to the finished product

Apply today to join the Online Bedrooms team.

Pay: £27,000.00 per year
