Order Taker

Job Title: Food Industry Order Taker

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities1. Order Processing & Customer Interaction

• Greet customers promptly with a warm, welcoming demeanor.
• Capture detailed food and beverage orders accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system (e.g., Toast, Square, MICROS).
• Clarify special dietary needs, food allergies, and customization requests (e.g., gluten-free, spice levels, extra toppings) with the customer and relay them to the kitchen team.
• Repeat orders back to customers to ensure 100% accuracy before finalizing transactions.

2. Up-Selling & Menu Knowledge

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and daily specials.
• Proactively suggest add-ons, side items, pairings, and promotional combos to maximize average order value (upselling/cross-selling).
• Answer customer inquiries about menu pricing, meal components, and preparation times clearly.

3. Payment Handling & Cashiering

• Operate cash registers and POS payment terminals to process cash, credit cards, mobile payments, and gift cards accurately.
• Issue receipts, count back change, and balance cash registers/floats at the beginning and end of each shift.

4. Cleanliness & Operational Support

• Maintain clean, organized order-taking counter stations, drive-thru areas, or phone desks.
• Assist in restocking condiment stations, take-out bags, cups, cutlery, and receipt paper during down-times.
• Comply strictly with local health department regulations, food safety rules, and company hygiene policies.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

Intermediate CNIC HOLDER
Physical Demands Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly during rush hours, and lift up to 25–30 lbs.

AvailabilityFlexibility to work shifts including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: From Rs35,000.00 per month
