ORMB Technical Consultant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced ORMB Technical Consultant with strong hands-on experience in Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) implementation, customization, integration, and support. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of ORMB application architecture, the Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF), Java/J2EE, and Oracle database technologies.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and customizing ORMB components, implementing integrations, optimizing database performance, and supporting application testing, deployment, and production operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. ORMB Development and Customization

• Develop, configure, and customize ORMB components, including Batch Programs, Business Services, Algorithms, UI Maps, Zones, and Portals.
• Build and enhance ORMB application components using Java and OUAF framework capabilities.
• Develop and maintain 4GL scripts, Service Scripts, BPA scripts, and plug-in scripts.
• Apply knowledge of ORMB application architecture and framework to deliver technical solutions.

2. OUAF Framework Development

• Demonstrate strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF).
• Develop and maintain Batch Programs, Business Services, Algorithms, UI Maps, and Zones.
• Work with Hibernate, XPath scripting, and other relevant OUAF components.

3. Integration Development

• Design, develop, and maintain REST and SOAP web service integrations.
• Configure Inbound Web Services (IWS) and Outbound Messages.
• Integrate ORMB with upstream and downstream applications.
• Test and troubleshoot web services using SOAP UI and Postman.

4. Database Development and Performance Optimization

• Write complex SQL and PL/SQL queries for application requirements.
• Work with Oracle RDBMS and optimize queries for performance.
• Conduct application-level and database-level performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues affecting ORMB processes.

5. Functional Collaboration

• Work with functional teams across Customer Setup, Billing, and Payments.
• Support ORMB functional domains such as Transaction Feed Management (TFM), Pricing, Billing Rates, and General Ledger (GL).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and implement appropriate technical solutions.

6. Testing, Support, and Maintenance

• Provide production support and troubleshoot ORMB application issues.
• Investigate and resolve billing job-stream failures and technical defects.
• Resolve User Acceptance Testing (UAT) defects.
• Support system smoke testing, deployment activities, and project cutovers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in ORMB technical development and implementation.
• Strong understanding of ORMB application architecture and framework.
• Hands-on expertise in Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF).
• Strong programming skills in Core Java, J2EE, and JavaScript.
• Experience developing Batch Programs, Business Services, Algorithms, UI Maps, Zones, and Portals.
• Knowledge of Hibernate, 4GL scripting, and XPath scripting.
• Strong experience with Oracle RDBMS, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations, Inbound Web Services (IWS), and Outbound Messages.
• Hands-on experience testing web services using SOAP UI or Postman.
• Experience in ORMB implementation, customization, integration, and support.

Good to Have

• Functional exposure to Customer Setup, Billing, and Payments.
• Knowledge of Transaction Feed Management (TFM), Pricing, Billing Rates, and General Ledger (GL).
• Experience with production troubleshooting, performance tuning, UAT, and cutover activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in ORMB and OUAF, practical implementation experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with functional and technical teams.
