OR/PACU RN Plastic Surgery

We are seeking an experienced RN to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is upbeat and genuinely enjoys helping people. Position: Plastic Surgery RN- PART TIME (Approximately 24 hours per week)

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in PACU/OR.
• BSN highly desirable.
• Candidate must possess strong assessment skills.
• Operating room/PACU experience.

Essential Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of sterile technique/field adhearance is a MUST.
• Prepares patients for examination by surgeon; captures all vital signs, provides gown, takes photos, starts progress notes (Scribe) & other key indicators as directed.
• Responsible for carrying out patient care directives instructed by the surgeon to ensure quality patient care such as removing and applying dressing, applying garments, topical anesthetic, cold packs, etc.
• Pre-op responsibilities including reviewing history and medications with patient, reporting pertinant information to OR team, and assisting surgical tech with OR set up.
• Support post-operative care including recovery monitoring, patient cares, discharge instructions, and room turn-over.
• Supporting the clinic flow in rooming patients, obtaining medical/surgical/social history, providing hand-off to surgeon for consultations. Evaluating post-operative patients, assisting with bandaging, and other tasks.

This is a part-time position 4 days/week, approximately 24 hours per week.

Monday- Afternoon OR circulator (4-5 hours)

Tuesday- Afternoon OR Circulator (4-5 hours)

Wednesday- Clinic support RN (8-4:30pm)

Thursday- Afternoon OR Circulator (~6 hours)
