Orthodontic Lab Technician

About the Position

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and motivated Orthodontic Lab Technician to join our orthodontic team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, has excellent attention to detail, and takes pride in producing high-quality orthodontic appliances and models.

This position plays an important role in supporting our clinical team and ensuring that patients receive accurate, well-made orthodontic appliances in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and finish orthodontic appliances according to doctor and lab specifications.
• Construct, adjust, and repair orthodontic appliances and retainers.
• Pour, trim, and finish dental/orthodontic models.
• Work with dental impressions, digital scans, and 3D-printed models.
• Assist with the fabrication of retainers, expanders, space maintainers, bite plates, and other orthodontic appliances.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure appliances are completed according to prescribed specifications.
• Inspect completed appliances for quality, fit, function, and appearance.
• Communicate with the orthodontic clinical team regarding appliance requirements and modifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory workspace.
• Properly clean, disinfect, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Follow OSHA, infection-control, and office safety protocols.
• Manage multiple laboratory projects while meeting established deadlines.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering laboratory supplies as needed.
• Perform other laboratory and orthodontic office duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous dental, orthodontic, or laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience as an orthodontic lab technician is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent hand skills and manual dexterity.
• Ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
• Comfortable working independently while also being part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and accountable.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable learning new technology, including digital scanning and 3D printing.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
