About the role
Seeking an enthusiastic Orthoptist / Optometrist to work as an ophthalmic assistant in a busy ophthalmic practice in Wangaratta. You will work closely with an ophthalmologist in a small supportive team. The practice is a general ophthalmology clinic, primarily treating cataract, glaucoma and anterior segment conditions, equipped with a Humphrey visual field, OCT, IOLMaster and Pentacam.
Key responsibilities
- General history taking
- Visual acuity and refraction
- Intraocular pressure measurement
- Biometry (IOLMaster 700)
- Topography (Pentacam)
- OCT (Cirrus 5000)
- Assisting during minor oculoplastic procedures
- Inventory management of medical supplies
