OSC Leader

Job Summary

We are looking for a caring, responsible, and enthusiastic Out of School Care Leader to join our team for the next school term! Our program is conveniently located across the street from the University of Victoria, offering a great opportunity for students or individuals looking for a position that works around the school schedule.

The successful candidate will help provide a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for school-age children in our before and after school care program.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety, well-being, and inclusion of school-age children.
• Lead engaging activities, including games, crafts, outdoor play, and group experiences.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development through positive interactions.
• Assist with daily routines, attendance, transitions, and snack times.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Follow childcare licensing requirements, safety procedures, and program policies.
• Complete required documentation and communicate with families and team members.

Qualifications:

• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• Responsible Adult Certificate or at least 20 hours of training in child development, guidance, health and safety, or nutrition.
• Valid First Aid- CPR C certification.
• Previous experience working with school-age children is an asset.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
