OSCAR Programme Assistant

Kidsbase is a well-established and very successful Before School, After School and School Holiday childcare programme provider for 5-13 year old children, operating programmes throughout Christchurch and North Canterbury. We pride ourselves that we offer a safe and encouraging environment for the children who attend our programmes, and a fun, enjoyable and supportive environment for the staff who deliver these programmes for us.

We are looking for a vibrant Assistant programme SUPERVISOR to help lead our Before School, After School Programme and School Holiday Programme at our Marshland School Programme, Christchurch.

Must be available between the hours of 7:15am – 9:00am & 2:30pm – 6:00pm weekdays during school terms (26.25hrs per week) & 7:30am - 6:00pm weekdays. School holiday work may also be available 7.30am-6pm.
MUST have a FULL driver's license.

The Programme Assistant would be responsible for helping plan when needed age-appropriate activities which enthuse and engage the children, making good use of both the indoor and outdoor environment and communicating with parents. You need the ability to problem solve situations and behavior issues and follow through on agreed solutions in a positive manner with parents, staff and management.

Kidsbase offers the successful applicants a comprehensive induction and orientation programme including key childcare industry training and first aid certification if required.
