OSHE Officer

About the role

The OSHE Officer role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements to create a sustainable program for a safe and healthy working environment. The position supports the organization through project management and ensures cleanliness and sanitized facilities in compliance with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements including DENR, DOLE and other government requirements
• Conduct monitoring of pollution generators and wastewater treatment facilities to ensure DENR/DOLE compliance
• Monitor, renew and apply for regulatory and statutory permits and their requirements on a timely basis
• Prepare and conduct awareness programs, orientation and seminars in connection to OSHE and sanitation
• Create a monitoring system and analyze possible problems in connection with OSHE and sanitation
• Coordinate with all concerned departments for any safety and environmental concerns
• Ensure proper house rules, sanitation and safety protocols are strictly followed during and after project activities
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly status and accomplishment reports for all projects and OSHE-related activities
• Conduct regular inspections of all plant building facilities and equipment for safety and environmental nonconformance and violations
• Plan and develop designs for projects, renovations, repairs, maintenance and improvements required by the plant

About you

• College diploma as a minimum requirement
• BS Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics and Communication/Civil Engineering or Architecture graduate is an advantage
• At least two years relevant experience in a similar position in the food industry sector, specifically food manufacturing plant
• Aware of Occupational Safety Health and Environment policy
• Familiar with DOLE, OSHS, Building, Electrical, and Mechanical codes commonly applied in the Philippines
• Ability to deal and communicate with all levels of people in the plant including corporate engineering
• Computer literate
• Attention to detail with a sense of responsibility
• Ability to manage change and priorities, meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work in quality and results-driven environment
