OT Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the OT: Clean, disinfect, and sterilize the operation room, tables, and surgical instruments before and after surgeries.
• Assist the Team: Hand instruments to surgeons and support nurses or anesthetists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Help move, transfer, and position patients safely on and off the operating table.
• Manage Supplies: Track surgical consumables, check drug expiry dates, and report any shortages to senior staff.
• Waste Disposal: Safely segregate and dispose of biomedical waste according to hospital rules.

Requirements & Skills

• Education: Diploma or certification in Operation Theatre Technology (OT Assistant/Technician course).
• Knowledge: Understanding of sterilization methods, infection control, and basic surgical tools.
• Soft Skills: Ability to stay calm in high-pressure emergency situations, strong teamwork, and clear communication.
• Physical Demands: High physical stamina to stand for long hours and lift heavy equipment or patients.

Pay: From ₹12,000.00 per month
