OT Assistant/ Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Surgical Preparation:
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments, tables, and the overall room environment.
• Set up and calibrate specialized medical equipment like lights, monitors, and anesthesia machines.
• Transport patients to the OT, position them safely on the operating table, and prep incision sites.
• Intra-Operative (During Surgery) Assistance:
• Hand sterile instruments, supplies, and sutures directly to surgeons and scrub nurses.
• Operate and monitor medical devices, suction machines, and vital sign trackers.
• Maintain the sterile field and perform instrument and sponge counts to ensure nothing is left inside the patient.
