OT Security Engineer

Job Title: OT Security Specialist

Rate: £450/day (OUTSIDE IR35)

Contract Length: 6 months (extendable)

Location: Remote with occasional site visits in Reading

OT Security Specialist - Role & Responsibilities

• Secure the client's operational technology infrastructure, including Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and SCADA environments.
• Conduct OT risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities and potential threats, and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
• Implement and manage OT security controls, monitor network traffic, and respond to and manage security incidents.
• Develop OT security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver security controls, and run OT security training and awareness programmes.

OT Security Specialist - Required Experience

• 5+ years' experience in IT/OT Security, with at least 3 years focused on OT security, ideally within manufacturing environments.
• Strong hands-on experience securing Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and SCADA environments, including OT network infrastructure and control system components.
• Proven experience with OT risk assessments, vulnerability management and patching, and security incident response within OT environments.
• Good understanding of OT security standards and regulations, particularly IEC 62443, along with the tools used to monitor and protect OT systems.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain security risks clearly and collaborate effectively with technical and operational teams.
