Position: OT Technician
Department: Operation Theatre (OT)
Experience: Minimum 3 Years

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare the Operation Theatre before scheduled surgeries and procedures.
• Ensure all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and ready for use.
• Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and OT staff during surgical procedures.
• Handle and maintain surgical instruments and OT equipment properly.
• Perform proper cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and maintenance of instruments as per hospital protocols.
• Maintain strict infection control and aseptic techniques inside the OT.
• Check OT equipment and ensure it is functioning properly before procedures.
• Maintain proper inventory of surgical consumables, instruments, and other OT supplies.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation as required during procedures.
• Follow all hospital safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain OT registers, records, and documentation.
• Coordinate with nursing, housekeeping, CSSD, and other departments for smooth OT functioning.
• Ensure the OT is properly prepared and maintained before and after every procedure.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as an OT Technician.
• OT Technician course/certification or relevant qualification.
• Good knowledge of surgical instruments, OT procedures, sterilization, and infection control.
• Ability to work efficiently in emergency and high-pressure situations.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Responsible, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
