OT TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities Job Description

• Assist in preparing the operation theatre and ensure all necessary equipment and instruments are in place and functioning properly.
• Support the surgical team by ensuring a sterile environment and adhering to infection control protocols.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and draping them appropriately.
• Assist the anesthetist with the administration and monitoring of anesthesia.
• Handle and manage surgical instruments during procedures, ensuring their availability and cleanliness.
• Provide emergency support in the operation theatre, including CPR and other life-saving techniques as needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records related to surgical procedures and patient care.
• Collaborate with the surgical and nursing teams to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety in the operation theatre.
