OTR Class A Driver

OTR Driver wanted at Justman Freight Lines. Full time and part time drivers wanted. OTR home weekly. If interested give us a call at 651-423-1020 to learn more about the position.

Our drivers do not stay out on the road for weeks on end. You go out, deliver, then reload for home 95% of the time. We have assigned trucks.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. 2 year experience would be preferred. The Truck Driver will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies

Duties

• Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Familiarity with route driving and delivery driver responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
• Commitment to safety protocols and regulations on the road.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods over long distances, ensuring timely delivery.
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding routes and delivery schedules.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws while on the road.
• Manage routes efficiently to optimize delivery times while ensuring safety.
• Handle refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized equipment as required.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on OTR routes.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other types of freight transportation is highly desirable.
• Ability to load and unload freight safely using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Strong understanding of route driving logistics and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
