Overview

We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious OTR (Over-the-Road) Class A Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this vital role, you will operate various commercial trucks, including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, and flatbed trucks, to ensure efficient waste collection and transportation services. Duties

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles such as front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, and flatbeds in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws
• Load and unload waste materials using heavy lifting techniques and specialized equipment like front-end loaders and front loaders
• Transport solid waste and hazardous materials responsibly, adhering strictly to hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical integrity, including checks on air brakes and manual transmission systems
• Follow established routes for municipal waste collection while maintaining timely schedules and optimizing delivery efficiency
• Comply with all safety standards related to driving, heavy lifting, hazard handling, and vehicle operation to prevent accidents or violations
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, vehicle maintenance, and incident reports in accordance with DOT and state transportation regulations

Qualifications

• Valid Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with air brake endorsement required; experience with manual transmission preferred
• Proven driving experience in delivery or waste management roles, especially with garbage trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles
• Mechanical knowledge of truck systems including dump trucks, tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and front-end loaders
• Strong understanding of solid waste management procedures and municipal waste collection practices
• Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and safe handling procedures for hazardous waste materials
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during load & unload operations using appropriate equipment
• Familiarity with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations as well as state transportation laws governing commercial vehicle operation

Pay: $900.00 - $1,300.00 per week
