OTR Flatbed Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with flatbed configurations across OTR routes, including hauling freight that requires secure load & unload procedures
• Securely load, strap, and unload freight such as construction materials, machinery, or other large cargo using manual handling techniques and proper equipment
• Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, ensuring timely deliveries while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Manage transportation of hazardous materials or dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in line with FMCSA regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any route or cargo issues

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record suitable for tractor-trailer operation
• Proven experience in truck driving, especially route driving with flatbed or Step Deck
• Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations and automobile transportation is a plus
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for long-haul routes
• Ability to manually handle freight safely and efficiently during load & unload processes
• Understanding of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT standards, and safety protocols for dangerous goods
• Experience ; training provided if needed
• Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer service in all aspects of delivery driving.
• Willing to Stay 2-3 Weeks Over the Road.

Pay: $2,300.00 - $2,900.00 per week
