This role offers the opportunity to operate a truck with a 40 foot straight deck and navigate complex routes while ensuring the safe handling of freight. Duties

• Safely operate on over-the-road routes to deliver freight promptly.
• Might have to help with Loading and unloading cargo with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of freight
• Navigate using GPS systems to optimize routes, avoid delays, and meet delivery deadlines while complying with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Handle logistics cargo with precision, including freight documentation, load securing,
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure safety standards are met; perform routine maintenance checks.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch to coordinate route driving plans, delivery schedules, and any unforeseen issues during transit.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with 40 foot decks or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
• Prior delivery driver experience involving route driving across long distances (OTR) preferred.
• Box trucks, and hot shots with 40 foot decks
• Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration).
• Skilled in manual transmission operation and truck loading/unloading processes for freight handling.
• Ability to navigate using GPS navigation systems efficiently while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) safety standards.
• Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading techniques.
