What you’ll do

• Operate tractor-trailers across OTR routes, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of freight
• Haul power-only loads using various trailer types, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, or specialized equipment
• Navigate efficiently using GPS systems and adhere strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Handle logistics cargo with precision, including load & unload procedures and securing freight according to safety protocols
• Comply with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, inspections, and delivery documentation in accordance with safety regulations
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and coordinate maintenance needs to ensure optimal tractor performance

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially in over-the-road (OTR) routes involving long-haul deliveries
• Familiarity with driving a tractor-trailer with manual transmission and operating various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers
• Knowledge of GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time tracking during trips
• Experience in automobile transportation or freight delivery driving preferred
• Understanding of logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading procedures, and securing loads effectively
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the type of freight transported (hazmat certification preferred)
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials handling regulations, and safety compliance standards for commercial trucking
