Outbound Area Manager

Summary: The Outbound Department Manager will oversee a high-performing team that communicates with Amazon

via Seller Central and ships LTL and FTL merchandise to Amazon FBA. Leading this team and ensuring all boxes and pallets

meet Amazon's strict labeling and shipping requirements while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:

● Oversee and manage the daily fulfillment of a high volume of Amazon FBA orders, ensuring all boxes are

prepared and labeled according to Amazon's specifications

● Oversee the accurate uploading of shipment details into Amazon’s system, maintaining compliance with all

shipping guidelines

● Arrange freight pickups and confirm shipping details with Amazon promptly to ensure timely delivery

● Oversee the boxing and palletization process, ensuring all boxes are accurately labeled with the correct Amazon

shipping labels

● Improve overall efficiency and quality by monitoring and improving key performance indicators, such as boxes

labeled per person per hour and label accuracy

● Analyze weekly forecast projections and determine the productivity needed to achieve overall building goals

● Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to optimize performance and cultivate a high-performing team

● Collaborate with fellow Area Managers and departments to optimize staffing levels, ensuring efficient shift

operations and achievement of all objectives

● Oversee the management and development of leads and associates

● Spearhead process improvement initiatives

● Uphold a safe working environment

● Track and analyze operational performance metrics

● Encourage and promote employee engagement

● Foster collaboration across different departments

● Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

● Three years of operational leadership and people management experience in a fast-paced 3PL fulfillment setting

● Expertise using inventory and warehouse management systems, with strong proficiency in Excel and Google

Sheets for reporting and analysis

● Experience in the ecommerce, retail, and manufacturing sectors is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

● Proven ability to oversee outbound operations within a warehouse or logistics environment.

● Profound understanding of Amazon's shipping and labeling guidelines.

● Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks, and maintain strong organizational skills in a fast-paced

environment.

● Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate and manage teams effectively

Working Conditions:

● This position operates on an active warehouse floor, onsite five days a week between the hours of 6:00am to

6:00pm

● Approximately 90% of time is spent on the floor; temperature is not fully controlled and noise levels are

moderate to high

● Regularly required to stand, walk, climb ladders and racks, bend, reach and open pallets and cases to verify

counts

● Frequently operates or works near powered industrial equipment

● Occasionally lifts or carries up to 50 lbs

● Uses a computer and handheld scanning equipment for portions of the day

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
