What they need

Overview

T’s Farm is a 210-acre agritourism destination in Northwest Florida focused on nature, agriculture, conservation, education, and creating meaningful experiences for families and the community.

We’re launching T’s Farm Outdoor Education, a new program designed to bring schools, homeschool families, microschools, and youth organizations to the farm for hands-on learning experiences centered around nature, wildlife, conservation, agriculture, environmental science, and outdoor skills.

We’re looking for an energetic, organized, entrepreneurial Outdoor Education Program Coordinator to help us build and grow the program from the ground up.

What You'll Do

  • Develop hands-on educational programs around nature, wildlife, conservation, agriculture, environmental science, and outdoor skills
  • Coordinate school field trips and homeschool Field School programs
  • Build relationships with local schools, homeschool organizations, microschools, Scouts, 4-H, and other youth organizations
  • Develop lesson plans, activities, field guides, and educational materials
  • Recruit and coordinate part-time Farm Education Guides and occasional subject-matter experts
  • Lead or oversee educational programs at the farm
  • Manage scheduling, enrollment, logistics, and communication with teachers and families
  • Help market the programs and grow enrollment
  • Help develop qualifying enrichment programs for families using education scholarship funds, including Step Up/PEP opportunities

Requirements - You should be:

  • Passionate about nature, conservation, agriculture, or outdoor education
  • Comfortable working with children and groups
  • Organized, dependable, and a strong communicator
  • Creative and enthusiastic about developing new programs
  • Comfortable working outdoors in a farm environment
  • Entrepreneurial and able to work independently
  • Comfortable building relationships and promoting programs

Experience in environmental education, teaching, youth programming, agriculture, wildlife, forestry, fisheries, horticulture, outdoor recreation, Scouts/4-H/FFA, or curriculum development is a plus. A relevant degree, certification, or 3+ years of relevant experience is preferred.

Compensation

$18–$25 per hour, depending on experience and responsibilities, for approved program coordination and facilitation work.

In addition, the position includes performance-based compensation tied to programs developed, booked, and managed, creating an opportunity to increase earnings as the program grows.

The goal is for this position to grow alongside T’s Farm Outdoor Education. As the program develops consistent revenue and enrollment, there is an opportunity for the role to expand into a larger leadership position.

Schedule

Programming will primarily take place during the spring and fall, when Northwest Florida's weather is ideal for outdoor education.

The position will have a flexible schedule, with weekday mornings required for school field trips and occasional homeschool and community programs. Additional time will be needed for program development, outreach, scheduling, and coordination.
