What they need

Overview

Green Air Monitoring is looking for a personable, confident communicator to strengthen relationships with existing customers and introduce our indoor air quality (IAQ) services to new clients.

This flexible, part-time opportunity would suit someone who enjoys speaking with people, opening conversations and building professional relationships. Your focus will be to understand customers’ needs, identify opportunities and arrange follow-up conversations with our technical team.

Initially, you will reconnect with existing and previous customers. As you become familiar with our services, you will also reach out to new organisations that could benefit from our support.

About Green Air Monitoring

GAM provides independent indoor air quality monitoring, ventilation assessments and related investigative services. We help building owners, occupiers and facilities management teams understand their indoor environment and address concerns about air quality and ventilation.

What you will do

  • Contact existing and previous customers by telephone and email to maintain relationships and explore upcoming needs.
  • Reintroduce GAM’s services and identify opportunities for repeat surveys, assessments or further support.
  • Research prospective customers and identify relevant contacts, including facilities managers, property managers and health and safety teams.
  • Start conversations with potential clients, introduce our services and establish whether we can help.
  • Ask thoughtful questions, listen carefully and recognise when a technical discussion would be useful.
  • Arrange relevant introductions, calls or meetings for the GAM technical team.
  • Follow up enquiries and earlier conversations consistently and professionally.
  • Keep clear records of contacts, conversations, opportunities and agreed next steps.
  • Work with colleagues to make sure clients receive timely responses.

Who we are looking for

You will have previous experience in customer outreach, business development, appointment setting, account management or a similar role involving proactive customer contact.

You should be:

  • Friendly, articulate and confident starting conversations over the telephone.
  • A good listener who can build rapport and develop lasting relationships.
  • Comfortable contacting both familiar customers and new prospects.
  • Persistent and considerate in your follow-up approach.
  • Organised and able to manage your time and follow-up commitments.
  • Comfortable using email, basic office software and a customer contact database.
  • Able to communicate professionally with business customers and represent GAM well.

Experience in facilities management, building services, environmental services or another technical business would be helpful. Previous indoor air quality knowledge is not essential; we will introduce you to our services and provide technical support.

Flexible working arrangements

This is an office-based role with a weekly commitment equivalent to 2–3 working days. There is flexibility over both the days you work and your start and finish times.

Hours can be arranged across two or three longer days or spread over shorter sessions throughout the week. The working pattern will be agreed to accommodate your availability and business needs, with outreach taking place during normal business hours when customers are available.

What success looks like

Success means stronger customer relationships, useful conversations with the right people, consistent follow-up and relevant opportunities passed to our technical team. We value the quality of those conversations and introductions alongside activity levels.

How to apply

Please send your CV and a short note outlining your customer outreach experience, your preferred working days and hours, and why this role interests you.
