What they need

Kearney, MO | Full-Time | In-Office (remote eligibility earned) | Occasional Travel

$64K–$70K to start | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

About the Role:

Teltex works with state programs that provide assistive communication equipment to eligible people with disabilities. Our Outreach Services team takes those programs into the community — building relationships with senior living facilities and community organizations, reaching potential applicants, and helping connect people with equipment that can make a meaningful difference in their daily lives.

Your primary responsibility is helping our field representatives succeed and keeping the Outreach operation running smoothly.

Our contract field representatives demonstrate equipment, build relationships with facilities, and help residents apply. You'll coordinate their work, follow up on performance, and make sure they have the support they need to produce completed applications.

You'll work closely with our Outreach Admin Support Specialist, who will lead your initial training in internal systems and processes. You'll share day-to-day responsibilities as peers, while taking increasing ownership of overall program coordination and follow-through.

We can teach you the program, systems, and calling approach. What you bring is the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing track of the details, the initiative to follow through independently, and the willingness to address concerns directly and constructively.

What You'll Do:

Rep Coordination & Performance Follow-Up

  • Stay in regular contact with our field reps — multiple times a week, daily when someone needs it — by phone, text, and in person.
  • Know where each rep stands: upcoming events, outreach activity, applications, what’s working well vs. what needs a different approach.
  • Motivate and coach reps toward monthly application goals. Spot gaps early, address concerns directly, develop and implement strategies to improve results or behavior, and follow up on progress.

Program Administration & Rep Support

  • Keep the CRM (data system) current and accurate, including contacts, call outcomes, rep activity, events, and follow-ups; follow through on missing updates or any problems flagged.
  • Research to identify new leads and opportunities for our field reps.
  • Track concurrent tasks and follow-ups across reps and states, making sure commitments are completed.
  • Prepare regular reports.
  • Make sure demonstration equipment, program materials, and supplies are ordered and available when reps need them.
  • Coordinate event logistics between reps, facilities, and internal staff.

Outbound Calling & Appointment Support

  • Cold-call facilities — senior living communities, community organizations, and similar — to book events and introductory meetings for the field reps.
  • Handle objections and rejection professionally, and follow through consistently on outreach.
  • Meet monthly appointment and event-booking targets that support rep application production and program growth.

Client & Applicant Support

  • Help cover state program phone lines and inboxes, answer inquiries, and route questions to the appropriate team.
  • Serve as a backup to the Outreach Admin Support Specialist for key processing tasks.
  • Handle applicant information with care and discretion, given the personal and medical details involved.

In the Field

  • Travel periodically to rep territories for in-person check-ins and support.
  • Attend conferences, expos, and vendor events, including handling scheduling and registration.
  • Step in to help cover an event when a rep is unavailable or a situation calls for extra support.

Communication & Ownership

  • Give regular, proactive updates on your progress and priorities without being asked.
  • Flag problems early, propose practical fixes, and coordinate next steps with the Admin Support Specialist and program leadership.
  • Ask for help when you're stuck. That's expected and valued, not a sign of falling behind.

About the Travel:

Typical travel is two to three days per month, with occasional short periods of heavier travel, such as a full week or back-to-back weeks for a new project launch.

Initial training may also include trips of up to a week so you can meet the reps and learn the work firsthand.

A company or rental vehicle is provided for business travel, and all travel expenses are covered, including transportation, lodging, and meals. You will not need to use your personal vehicle for business travel.

Work Location:

In-office work in Kearney is required to start. After demonstrating consistent self-direction, effective time management, responsiveness, and results, you may be approved to work remotely on some days of the week. This is not a fully remote position.

What We're Looking For:

Required

  • Demonstrated ability to manage many moving parts — with a clear method for tracking concurrent tasks, follow-ups, and commitments through completion
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Ability to engage effectively with people — from key decision-makers to individuals interested in the program
  • Comfort on the phone, including cold calls, rep check-ins, and applicant support; prior phone-based work is a plus
  • Experience working as part of a team, with clear examples of taking initiative, solving problems, or filling a gap without being asked
  • Comfort working with different personalities and addressing concerns directly and constructively
  • Strong verbal and written communication — equally able to be persuasive on a cold call and patient with someone who needs help
  • Willingness to travel as described above
  • Located within reasonable daily commuting distance of Kearney, MO

Preferred

  • Experience coordinating, supporting, or leading a distributed, remote, or field-based team
  • Prior supervisory or team-lead experience of any size — formal or informal
  • Experience in nonprofit outreach, assistive technology, disability services, or senior living
  • Prior CRM experience (we'll train you on ours)

The Path Forward:

You'll first learn the program from the inside and spend time in the field to understand the reps' work firsthand. From there, you'll take increasing ownership of performance follow-up and overall program coordination, working closely with the Admin Support Specialist and program leadership.

For someone who demonstrates sustained results and leadership, the role offers a path into Outreach Management, with broader responsibility for the team, new-state launches, and program development. Advancement is based on demonstrated readiness and results.

Why Join Us:

  • Meaningful work helping people with disabilities access equipment and services they may not know exist
  • A real growth path in an expanding division
  • Variety: team coordination, problem-solving, calling, applicant support, and field work
  • You'll help build this, not just fill an existing seat
  • Opportunity to earn remote work on some days of the week
  • Full benefits — health, dental, and vision available; PTO; 401(k) with full match up to 3%

Requirements:

Because this role involves working with seniors, people with disabilities, and their personal information, all applicants must pass required background checks and drug screenings. This role also involves occasionally transporting and setting up materials for presentations and events (ability to lift up to 40 lbs.).

The schedule is primarily Monday–Friday during daytime hours. Occasional evening or weekend events may arise and are coordinated in advance.

Teltex is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, status as a protected veteran, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.

If you require a reasonable accommodation to complete the application or interview process, or to perform the essential functions of this role, please let us know.

Pay: $64,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • 401(k)
  • 401(k) matching
  • Dental insurance
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Vision insurance
