Outreach Program Manager

The Mobile Food Pantry Manager is an impactful and growing program with WAFER Food Pantry.

Duties include ensuring that the mobile pantry vehicle is stocked and loaded prior to outreach departure, assuring proper storage of items, working one-on-one with pantry patrons,, scheduling and recruiting volunteers, maintaining and building community/volunteer relationships, fundraising, marketing, program development, assuring proper care and maintenance of the mobile pantry vehicle, and upholding the highest level of confidentiality.

Working Conditions:

• Work is largely performed in a warehouse, office setting, and community setting with minimal chance for personal injury.
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs, computer use, and working in all weather conditions.
• Regular contact with employees, volunteers and clients.
• Hours of work will vary based on outreach schedule (typically between 8am-4pm) and may include special projects, community events, and more.

Qualifications:

• Secondary education or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Computer proficiency (data entry, Microsoft Office).
• Basic math skills.
• Valid driver’s license, responsible driving record, and ability to obtain a Federal Medical Examiner’s Certificate.

This is a part-time position, up to 30 hours weekly. Starting pay begins at $18-20/hr or based on experience. Benefits: insurance is not offered, PTO available after one year, and 401k match.
