About Us

Component Overhaul Services, Corp. (COS) is an FAA Part 145 Repair Station specializing in landing gear overhaul and repair. We proudly support airlines, MROs, and aircraft leasing companies worldwide.

We are currently seeking an Outside Process & Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Medley, FL.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and has experience coordinating outside processing, vendor activities, and domestic and international shipments within the aviation industry.

Position Overview

As an Outside Process & Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing outside processing activities, tracking component movement, coordinating shipments, and ensuring all required documentation is accurate and complete.

This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining efficient daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage Repair Orders (ROs) and Purchase Orders (POs) for outside processing services, including plating, NDT, machining, and heat treatment.
• Monitor parts sent to outside vendors, track turnaround times, and follow up to ensure timely completion.
• Review and verify aviation documentation, including FAA 8130-3 forms, Certificates of Conformity (C of Cs), and process certifications.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments using FedEx, UPS, DHL, and freight forwarders.
• Prepare commercial invoices, packing lists, and other required shipping and export documentation.
• Work closely with customs brokers to coordinate import and export clearance.
• Arrange proper crating and transportation of heavy or oversized landing gear components.
• Maintain accurate records and update repair orders, shipment information, and tracking logs within the ERP system.
• Communicate regularly with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding order status and delivery timelines.
• Assist in resolving shipping delays, documentation discrepancies, and vendor-related issues.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in aviation purchasing, outside processing, logistics, or a related field.
• Previous experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station or MRO environment preferred.
• Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments.
• Working knowledge of FedEx, UPS, DHL, and freight forwarding processes.
• Familiarity with customs procedures, import/export requirements, and shipping documentation.
• Knowledge of aviation traceability documents, including FAA 8130-3 and EASA Form 1.
• Experience using ERP systems; familiarity with Quantum Control is a plus.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
