Outside Sales Coordinator - Building Materials

Pay: $23-26/hr plus overtime and bonus opportunities

Rice Lumber is seeking an organized, detail-oriented addition to our team to support the outside sales team at our Shelburne, Vermont location. This position will support multiple sales representatives as a reliable resource to their builders throughout the sales process from project planning through completion.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys helping others, can manage multiple priorities at once, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced building materials environment.

What You'll Do

As Outside Sales Support, you will work closely with our outside sales team and customers to keep projects moving smoothly. Responsibilities include:

• Provide day-to-day administrative and sales support to multiple outside sales representatives
• Serve as a point of contact and resource for contractors
• Facilitate quotes, estimates, and material take-offs
• Write and process special orders
• Help source products
• Coordinate and facilitate customer deliveries
• Help track projects, orders, and customer requests from planning through completion
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to source products and resolve questions
• Maintain accurate customer and project information
• Support the outside sales team with additional administrative and project-related needs as they arise

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is team oriented, dependable, organized, and comfortable taking initiative. The right candidate will be able to manage multiple projects and requests while maintaining attention to detail.

• Experience in the building materials, construction, or lumber industry (preferred)
• Knowledge of residential construction and building materials (preferred)
• Previous sales, customer service, or inside sales experience (preferred)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong computer and administrative skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers, contractors, vendors, and coworkers

Schedule

• **Winter Hours (November – April)**Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts with a 1-hour lunch
• **Summer Hours (April – November)**Monday–Friday schedule plus two Saturdays per month (8:00 AM–12:00 PM) during the busy building season.
